These bats are stained with a specially sourced black semi gloss wood stain to give a shiny finish and also wood penetration.
Hitting the ball will eventually remove and crack some of the colouration, but the blade is protected with a clear antiscuff to help prevent this happening to the main playing area. Decolouration is not a fault with the bat and will not be considered as a warranty claim - decolouration and cracking will happen, it is an inevitable result of the impacts involved, bats can be recoloured for a relatively low cost.

                                         If you have an old bat you rarely use and want to colour it, we can offer a black colouration service. We
                                         will strip your old labels (or work around them as best we can - your choice), sand the blade down to
                                         remove the oil and glue residue, stain the blade black (front and back) with our special stain solution
                                         and if you like apply our Quantum labels or leave the bat blank as you choose, then apply a clear antiscuff
                                         face.    It takes about a week to do as the stain needs time to dry.

1) Your bat should be sent to us (well packaged) with full payment - please contact us for delivery address.
2) If you wish us to retain your existing labels we will do our best to work round them, the area under the existing labels will not be stained. This may not be possible on some big labels or where antiscuff overlays labels - we will contact you if we anticipate problems before we start the procedure.
3) Life span of the black stain is not guaranteed - the stain is semi-permanent, once applied it will over time crack and fade but it will not be possible to remove completely. Please be sure you wish to proceed before you send us your bat.

Coloured bats are a relatively new innovation and one that is technically outlawed in International and 1st class cricket, but Quantum Cricket are pleased to offer this black stained cricket bat for use in nets, exhibition and friendly games. Made from genuine English willow (grade 4) or kashmir willow as a less expensive option, in a typical Asian profile; curved blade, lower middle, big edges.

Bats are prepared to order from stock plain bats, grain count doesn't really matter as you won't see it, but the bats will perform as good cricket bats relative to their price point and type.
These bats will probably not be allowed to be used in most League and amateur cricket but at the price represent a great "novelty" that can be used at nets, evening games, special events etc and a great way to impress your mates.
