The Genius cricket bat is used and endorsed by the 'Little Master' himself Sachin Tendulkar. This is a very traditional Asian shaped bat, a big bowed blade with slightly lower middle and very thick edges giving a massive profile and as a result is only available in heavier weights, anything 2.10 lbs and below is remarkable, usually 2.11 lbs and upwards. The Genius is made from grade 1 English willow clefts, typically 6-7 straight grains (usually more) with upto 1cm brown wood down one edge, fitted with a round three sprung traditional cane handle. Each Genius bat is also supplied with a full length bat cover.
This bat is suited to drives and cross bat shots with it's massive edges, possibly on slower, lower paced pitches. These bats have big profiles and lots of wood in the blade so are suitable for most English style conditions. The difference between Genius and LE(X) version is simply the grade of wood, Genius are very good grade 1 bats with big profiles, LE(X) are the choicest premium willow with massive profiles.
