What if you could get a discount on a new bat by part exchanging your old bat?

Well now you can, we will offer you a part exchange value between £10-£40 if you send us your old bat and purchase a new bat from us at the same time from our wide range of bats.
There are of course terms and conditions, we don't want severely broken bats or 20 year old planks that have long since past being anything but firewood. We want servicable bats that can still be used, we will refurbish and sell on as second user items.
So what could my bat be worth?

The descriptions below will give you an idea of the value to us for each bat against the purchase of a high end new bat. These are not absolute, an offer will be made on a bat by bat basis taking all factors into account.

£40:  1-2 years old, grade 1 english willow from a recognised maker, still labelled, labels, splice, handle and blade in good condition, no damage (other than light wear and tear) to the bat.

£30: 1-2 years old, grade 1/2/3 english willow from a recognised maker, blade, splice and handle in good condition, labels damaged, surface cracks, some light refurbishment necessary.

£20:
Bats greater than 2 years old and/or grade 4 or lower, essentially sound handle, splice and blade, irrespective of maker and labels. Some refurbish work necessary, minor surface cracks, light bruising etc.

£10:
Grade 1/2 bats with broken handles, blade must be sound, minor refurbish work necessary. Older low grade bats with sound construction.

Kashmir willow bats and bats with blade splits (horizontal or vertical) have no value.

Values between whole 10s may be offered depending on make, model, condition etc.
The prices quoted above are guide lines only.
THE "PART-EX" PROCESS

Please follow these instructions to obtain your valuation and to part exchange your cricket bat with Quantum Cricket.

1)
Decide which bat you want to purchase from us. Remember the value of the
p/x will depend on your intended purchase as well as your intended p/x bat.

2)
Take three photos of your bat; front, back and side profile.
Ensure the whole bat is pictured; handle, splice and toe areas. These photos
must accurately show the full  condition of the bat. Further close up photos of
any damaged areas will help with a fair valuation.

3)
Download and complete our valuation form

4)
Send the valuation form and the photos to us. Email is quickest.

5)
By reply we will let you know our offer for your bat in part exchange for the bat you wish to purchase from us, along with a reference number. We will return your valuation form, duly signed by us with these details included.

6)
If you wish to proceed having received our offer you need to order your new bat online with payment details, print, sign and return the valuation form with the reference number and send it to us with your old bat. Note you are responsible for the costs in sending your bat too us, please factor these in to your purchase, we can advise on the best (and lowest cost) method but it is your responsibility to pay for and insure the delivery to us.

7)
Once we've received your bat and examined it to ensure it matches your description we will process your order and apply the discount agreed before processing your payment.

So your new bat is £150, we offer £35 for your old one, you send it to us, the
condition is as described, we charge £115 to your payment method and send
    you your new bat.

8)
If your old bat is not as described, ie it is more damaged than you say or not of the appropriate grade, quality or is different to the photos in any way then we will NOT pay the agreed price. We will offer you the chance to complete the order for the new bat at the full price and we will return your old bat with your new one, or you can cancel the transaction and we will keep your bat or return it to you for a processing charge of £11.  Alternatively we may mutually agree on a new value.

In order to keep the process secure and fair the valuation form contains
a legally binding contract on both parties which becomes valid once signed.
We respectfully ask that you do not send bats that you know have been
mis-represented on the forms - this will only lead to ill feeling and we will
not process your part exchange. It will also cost you money to get your
bat back, this is protected by a legally binding contract.
Part Exchange your old bat against our signature range of new cricket bats!
Part exchange is an accepted process in the car retail sector, but we at Quantum Cricket want to innovate and introduce this into cricket bat retail. We know many of you out there have perfectly usable cricket bats but want to upgrade, either becuase you can't get on with your existing bat (it could be too heavy, too light, wrong balance, profile not suited to your game or many other reasons) or you just want to try something new. Your old bat then literally rots away, unused.
Last updated: 27.12.2011 - 14:42.

PLEASE NOTE: It is your responsibility to provide a completely accurate description of your bat. If you don't we will cancel the transaction and charge you £11 to return your bat, you must sign a legally binding contract to agree to this. Please do not enter into the process in order to deliberately mislead and "try your luck", you will only spoil it for those genuinely looking to take advantage of this innovative sales initiative.
