A new concept in cricket bats coming out of India thanks to the hugely popular 20/20 format of the game. This Yuvi 20/20 range of cricket bats are made slightly shorter in the blade and slightly longer in the handle than a traditional SS bat, to retain the same overall height of a standard cricket bat. The handle is made that bit thicker for extra strength but the real bonus is the wood saved by the shorter blade is used to make the blade thicker with the most massive edges ever seen on a cricket bat, upto 3.5cm at their widest. Even at this massive size the weights can be retained at a manageable 2.11 lbs or thereabouts. The extra handle length can be used to gain extra leverage, and of course the extra thick edges and blades allow for some serious power hitting even from mis-timed shots.
