The Typhoon cricket bat from MRF is made from top grade Kashmir Willow, crafted in the traditional Asian shape (bowed blade, thick edges, lower middle, big profile) along the same lines as the Genius with a rounded handle. The Typhoon is made from Kashmir willow which is harder, drier, heavier and much less expensive but does not perform quite as well as English Willow. The Typhoon however will do an excellent job in limited circumstances and at a great price, an excellent bat for that evening slog, wet soggy day, tail end batsmen who wants some meat behind the ball or to use in the nets to protect your best English willow bat.
Kashmir willow usually has lots of grains but is slightly browner in colour than English willow. Each Typhoon bat is also supplied with a blade length bat cover. An excellent entry level branded bat made to exacting standards.
